Carol Bowker, Crawford, CO
Carol and her husband, Ken, and their yellow lab, Daisy, live on a small acreage farm in Western Colorado near the West Elk Mountains. Living with these beautiful surroundings inspires most of Carol’s work. She prefers to paint outdoor color sketches on location to be used later to create finished paintings in her studio.
Style of paining:
Mostly realistic, yet somewhat impressionistic at times.
Western panoramic landscapes and animals such as; horses, cattle, bison sheep and grizzly bears.
Oil paints (classical), but also she has won awards in and enjoys acrylics, watercolors, pastels, pencil and sculpture.

Reason for Painting:
“Through my paintings, I can reach out to people. Many times I’ve had someone tell me that ‘talk to them’. We all need to be reminded that there are still places that offer peace and tranquility in the midst of all the chaos in this world.
