Jack Haggerty assembling work in Redstone Art Center

In his previous career Jack Haggerty received his degree in chemistry, and worked in the medium of plastic to manufacture prosthetic hands. Out of the demands of that career, he developed and fine-tuned a sense of three-dimensional shape along with a sense of the importance of precision and aesthetics, and the preciousness of the human body. Transitioning to sculpting has been extremely rewarding and freeing, as he has been able to combine his technical expertise with his love for the human form and with an interest in contemporary lines. He has exhibited and sold his work in various galleries and shows to clients throughout the US.
